I was going through quotes and there's so much variety in them, and I got to wondering, what is the average age of people on this website? I just turned 20, and I'm in college, and I go on this site to practice typing, pass time, or to just have something to do with my hands when I'm bored. How old is everyone on here, and why do you like to type?
I'm 17, I like to type cus I like going fast. Typing is something I used to do a lot when I was little and recently I've decided to revisit typing again. Used to play a lot of nitrotype in middle school. I always have to do something with my hands as well and typing helps alot.
I'm 17 (soon 18), I just like typing for fun, it's satisfying for me to type really quick, at least for my standards, it also helps me to work quicker on my computer and flex on my friends sometimes haha
I am 22, and I've enjoyed typing since I took a touch typing class in 6th grade. It's just super satisfying to me for some reason. I use it to procrastinate doing homework (like right now)
18, and I just made this account some time ago, although I've been typing on this website for over 2 years, I still have yet to improve my typing skills.
I'm 33. I'm a psychotherapist, I use this website in-between sessions to increase my productivity and ground myself before the next session. Typing exercises is something I like to tell some of my patient I do, because it works so well for me.
I'm 19 and am in college but I actually started using this website when I was in middle school (though I didn't make an account until more recently). I've just always enjoyed typing and reading through the quotes and keep doing it whenever I'm bored in class!
35. I recently picked up the hobby of building mechanical keyboards and like to practice typing here. The little community here is great. Most of the communication is through the quotes and it's like we're all sending little messages in a bottle.
I'm 18, and a computer science student at a university. I come on here to practice my typing or just simply when I'm bored and want something to do with my fingers.
I'm 18. I'm currently a manager at a bike shop in Bentonville Arkansas and love to mountain bike. The reason I like to type is so that I can get faster because I think it's fun, but also so that if I ever get the chance, I can "van life" for a bit and work from my van while being able to ride all over the Americas.
I'm 16 currently, and I come on here to get my typing speed up. I'm going to be completely honest and say that my typing speed differs every time I type, so I can't really say the range of my WPM. I also type when I'm bored or pretend to take notes during class. I hope you all have a good day.
Hello I am x, my age is 24. my average is 75-85. sometimes i go down 50-60 wpm coz im aiming for speed, but when I aim for accuracy; i get 85-90+. Thats all, thank you.
I'm 28, my typing speed at the time it around 55-60 WPM, and I started learning to type less then a year ago because I'm studying coding and I thought it'd be a good idea to learn to type faster.
I'm 20, and I started typing here since 2016. My inspiration was one of my teachers who was very enthusiastic about typing and told us how important of a skill it is. So I started casually typing here as an excuse for procrastinating while listening to a book, and I must say I'm quite glad about what I've achieved. I started with about 40-50 wpm average and now I've pretty much tripled it!! I hope I see that teacher one day and I'll tell him about this and thank him for inspiring me to do this.
I'm 24, typing is one of the only ways to chill my brain out when it's running wild. Not sure how long I've been typing on here but probably a few years - it's almost autopilot for me now haha. Lovely to meet you all!
27! I learned to type better here so I could become a more competent person overall, and to prepare for my prospective career change to IT. I work in prison and I want to get out someday.
I have to appologize first. Because my message is about to kill all your fun. You see, I recently lost my job. I have nothing else to do at the time being. And this is the only place I can think of, to hang out, and the only thing that I feel like doing. I believe if someday I should become No.1, the Champion, the fastest typist, in other words, to have beaten all of you in this sport -- sorry -- then I could somehow make money out of it. That said, to answer the question, I am 40. (Hello to "mumma" of the first comment, because she is also 40.) Does it make sense, what I said? Do you think my logic is flawed? -- Regardless, I know you are kind people and might want to give me some valid and practical advice. Thank you but I haven't revealed my location yet. When I do, you will realize you cannot help me. Because I am located in hell. The last statement is metaphoric.
I'm 35. About 5yrs ago I started adding things to my daily routine that hopefully might better me as a person over time. Learning to type correctly was one of those things. Been doing 10 games a day ever since.
Just turned 25. Been using WPM programs/websites since I was 7 years old. It's weirdly soothing, and a great way to pass time at work between appointments. I just like pushing my highest WPM higher little by little... almost to 200!
13; joined a computer science class in 7th grade thinking it would be about block programming, and it was, but a lot of the class was about typing as well. I type here because it's better than doing nothing.
A lot of the people in my class said that I was really good at typing and that they sucked when they didn't even try to listen to the lessons, so listen to the lessons guys.
