He walked down the orchestra hall after getting his violin at the end of the day. I don't remember what his violin case looked like. He looked small and unassuming.
David Bowie
- Changes
And these children that you spit on as they try to change their worlds are immune to your consultations. They're quite aware of what they're going through.
Richard Siken
- Landscape with a blur of conquerors
Why take more than we need? Because we can. Deep footprint, it leaves a hole. You'd break your heart to make it bigger, so why not crack your skull when the mind swells. A thought bigger than your own head... I shovel the color into our faces, I shovel our faces into our faces. They look like me. I move them around. I prefer to blame others, it's easier.
I was in the hallway between the orchestra room and the auditorium, kneeling and unpacking my violin. He came bursting out of the orchestra room, and I looked up, and he looked down, and I looked horrible.
Silent Hill 2
- Mary's Letter
In my restless dreams, I see that town. Silent Hill. You promised me you'd take me there again someday. But you never did. Well, I'm alone there now, in our 'special place', waiting for you. Waiting for you to come to see me...
A-ha Take on Me
- Take on Me
So needless to say, I'm odds and ends but I'll be stumblin' away, slowly learning that life is okay. Say after me, "It's no better to be safe than sorry."
Henry David Thoreau
- Walden - Economy
When I wrote the following pages, or rather the bulk of them, I lived alone, in the woods, a mile from any neighbor, in a house which I had built myself, on the shore of Walden Pond, in Concord, Massachusetts, and earned my living by the labor of my hands only. I lived there two years and two months. At present I am a sojourner in civilized life again.
Jean-Jacques Rousseau
- I love idleness.
I love idleness. I love to busy myself about trifles, to begin a hundred things and not finish one of them, to come and go as my fancy bids me, to change my plan every moment, to follow a fly in all its circlings, to try and uproot a rock to see what is underneath, eagerly begin on a ten years' task and to give it up after ten minutes: in short to fritter away the whole day inconsequentially and incoherently, and to follow nothing but the whim of the moment.
Music: An Appreciation
- Chromatic harmonies
Often found in romantic music, the use of chords containing tones not found in the prevailing major or minor scale, but included in the chromatic scale.
Tablerone
- DOSE
Into the eyes of fire, into the gaze ablaze, into the burning light of his rays. Into the source of wisdom, beyond the Bible lies, into the endless depth of his eyes.

- Not Sorry for Loving You
So if I pushed you. Or if I came on too strong. Or if I ambushed you, for that, I'll say I was wrong. And if you hate me then I am sorry my love's too much for you. But I'm not sorry for loving you.

So I went to the store, right? You'll never guess what happened, I met a doctor! Wow! He looked in my cart and said that there weren't any vegetables in my cart. I said, "So what? You can't doctor me." Let's just say... I got doctored.

- Happiness
Happiness is something which we can't describe in words it can only be felt from someone's expression of a smile. Likewise, happiness is a signal or identification of good and prosperous life. Happiness is very simple to feel and difficult to describe. Moreover, happiness comes from within and no one can steal your happiness. Every day we see and meet people who look happy from the outside but deep down they are broken and are sad from the inside.

At one of the first music therapy club meetings, the attendance sheet was being passed around. I sat behind him, and he twisted around to pass the sheet to me, and we made eye contact for a moment. His handwriting looked like a font.

- Hart of Dixie
"He either loves you or he doesn't. Giving away the milk for free only confuses you." My favorite line by Grandma Betty from Hart of Dixie. I feel like there may be someone out there who needs to read that...
Arthur Schopenhauer
The conversation among ordinary people, when it does not relate to any special matter of fact, but takes a more general character, mostly consists in hackneyed commonplaces, which they alternately repeat to each oother with the utmost complacency.

- Slipping through my fingers - ABBA
The feeling that I'm losing her forever And without really entering her world, I'm glad whenever I can share her laughter That funny little girl, slipping through my fingers all the time, I try to capture every minute The feeling in it, slipping through my fingers all the time.
Isabelle Kellner
- Nostro Dio
It's ironic how you are the perfect opposite of what you claim to be. How you demand blind fellowship at the threat of an uncertain, unlikely demise. How you carefully and quietly sew hate and bigotry into our every action. How you work your way into our minds and pretend to be in our favor. How you paint it all black and white, while no such colors exist... But most ironic of all, how we believe you.

- Falling Apart (Be Careful After Age 40)
Thursday I felt extra sleepy but it turned out, I had a fever of 102.4 which is higher than I have ever had. I called in sick on Friday and stayed home until Sunday, where I went to UC. The doctor was surprised that I had low O2 saturation and did a chest X-ray which revealed that I had pneumonia. I called to let work know I was sick and when I put down the phone I coughed. I guess this was at wrong time in the wrong posture because now my back hurts and I can no longer bend forward.
