After a year and 9 months of typing on this website, I finally reached the 100 wpm mark at 100% accuracy. This makes me really happy.

Hi, I don't recommend (DVORAK), unless you want to type the numbers a lot at the top insead of the numpad. I recommend (COLEMAK), if you're looking for a more ergonomic layout. You get to keep most common shortcuts like 'ctrl + c and ctrl +z' at the same position which is nice for a right-hander. Also all the most used letters are in the home row. I made a mistake and switch to (DVORAK), I should've did more looking up before the switch. Learn from my mistake and research the different layouts before you commit.

Right now I'm hitting the 80's mark consistently since I've notice my left hand types more consistently, or more fluidly than my right hand. I'm right-handed so this feels kinda weird. Because I'm right-handed I feel like my right hand is stiffer, it doesn't roll on the keyboard. I'm hitting the 90s every now and then if the words in the test don't include words that repeat letters <- unlike this, and if they don't include a lot of punctuations like ? and !. I kinda wished that QWERTY keyboard is better designed for English words because it feels like the layout itself is a hassle. I might need to test out DVORAK style but that'll take a while to get used to.

I dunno man. It's just a goal. I've been noticing aspects of my condition that affects the wpm too. Like my mood, the room temperature, etc. It's so weird. Or if I'm like perfectly rested but my blood is still warm. There's so many instances I hit the 90s mark but I could never replicate the conditions perfectly. I might need to actually exercise to get into that condition.

Literally, fix what? You type 70-80 wpm and you're trying to hit 100? From your message, I'm sure you will be able to reach your goal. All I'm saying is, "Why would anyone ever need to reach so high?" I've never seen a job requiring more than 80 cwpm, unless you are just doing it for self-satisfaction. I'm really curious. :)

I'm still trying to hit the 100 wpm mark and I can't seem to get it yet. I know that I have to be 100% accurate to even get it which would give me the 3rd star. I'm using both a laptop keyboard and a blue cherry-mx switch keyboard but that still doesn't get my wpm up. Lately, I've been taking dips in my wpm too. Usually, I would garner 70-80 wpm and occasionally a 90 and above. I just can't get to that 100 though. I know there's a flow I must follow but I always stutter in that rhythm so I don't know how to fix that.

My tip to improve your typing speed is to remember the home row, get yourself in a comfortable position, and practice.
