* Mettez les index sur les touches qui ont un relief (petit point ou barre)
* A chaque touche il y a un doigt assigné. Une touche doit toujours être tapée par le même doigt.
* Ne regardez pas le clavier, les yeux doivent toujours être sur l'écran
* Entrainez-vous !
When my fingers hurt after too much time on the keyboard, I simply just take a break. Or, if I'm feeling feisty, I will keep going until I get bored, or it becomes too hard to move my fingers and maintain my speed.
My tip to improve your typing speed is to...switch back and forth between speed and accuracy. Slow down for accuracy but not too. much, then all out speed and try to keep the errors down.
When my fingers hurt after too much time on the keyboard, I...get new more comfortable mechanical keyboards. Corsair RGB K95 Platinum or Roccat Vulcan Aimo 120 are the best I've found so far.

My tip to improve your typing speed is to... always focus on accuracy, not speed. If you want to type faster in a year, focus on accuracy. Invest attention in what you're doing.
What really helped me improve my typing speed is... learning to touch-type, instead of hunt-and-peck.
But QWERTY is too crazy to learn, except by osmosis. So instead I decided to learn Dvorak, which is logical, and efficient (for English at least). It took me only 2 weeks to learn it because it makes sense, and then after one month I was back at my old hunt-and-peck speed. Now I can type around 70-80 WPM with 90-95% accuracy.
But that was never really my aim. I just wanted the shooting pains in my arms to stop, and was too cheap to get an "ergonomic" keyboard. Dvorak really helped me there.
When my fingers hurt after too much time on the keyboard, I.... Wait. That never happens. I don't type QWERTY, so my fingers don't have to do weird contortions.
I'm still trying to hit the 100 wpm mark and I can't seem to get it yet. I know that I have to be 100% accurate to even get it which would give me the 3rd star. I'm using both a laptop keyboard and a blue cherry-mx switch keyboard but that still doesn't get my wpm up. Lately, I've been taking dips in my wpm too. Usually, I would garner 70-80 wpm and occasionally a 90 and above. I just can't get to that 100 though. I know there's a flow I must follow but I always stutter in that rhythm so I don't know how to fix that.
What really helped me improve my typing speed is... always keeping fingers on the keyboard, but not necessarily moving them after typing until necessary.
When my fingers hurt after too much time on the keyboard, I stretch them out and crack my knuckles although, I know that probably won't be such a good idea for the future. At that point, I know that it is time for me to take a break from typing and choose another activity, and get back on the computer later.
