I hate fire alarms. I know that they have to be loud so you can hear them in another room or when you're sleeping but the noise they make is excessive. I have hearing loss and even to me they sound god awful. I believe if you played the sound next to a graveyard you'd wake the dead and cure the deaf.

When you're young you think getting a tattoo will make you stand out and appear cool and unique. The reality is once you get one, no one really cares. Sure, you might get a few compliments every once in a while, but people treat you exactly the same. So next time you feel the urge to book an appointment for some permanent ink think about why you want one.

Don't worry about hanging around people who will make you appear popular if you don't truly enjoy them. Wait it out. Don't see them for months and see if they reach out to you first. If they make no effort, you were nothing more than an accessory to them. Instead focus on the people who value your friendship and go out of their way to make time for you. Keep the ones you can be weird around, they will never waste your time.
