Yeah I think there's just a fundamental problem with the way scores are being stored. I have also noticed how the chart doesn't necessarily change after each test but I think that's because a lot of people have done at least over 200 quotes and it would be very difficult for the chart to show each speed. But what's weird for me is that the chart before actually did go up to 160 to 170 wpm and now it's just not doing it.

interesting bit if insights, although, i have to disagree with you on the "it shows the all time average" hypothesis. case in point, i recently was more aware of the chart and repeatedly checked it as i did tests and it looks like even a couple of tests can tip the arrow head up and down. i'm more on the side of "it plots games one by one until it reaches a certain point and then compiles all into an average and then re-plots the chart". something like that. so for example, the current chart is just insanely off, i've no idea why. it's been a while since i've been below 120 average but its showing that my average has recently hit something like 110

There is another similar site that I know, the name of which I prolly (a new expression that I learned very recently, which means probably) should not mention for obvious reasons (but "keyboard-racing dot com") has a fantastic chart. You can zoom in and zoom out on that chart and see all the scores of any time period. Alas, that is about the only "pro" of that site in comparison to this site. But the "cons" of that site include: i) quotes are not as interesting, but repetitive and contain too many errors; ii) fonts difficult to read, upper I and lower l are completely the same; iii) appears to have many robots and too few human players, therefore not as large and organic a communitititititity.

The matter is, the chart of this site does not show the score of each one of your tests. Look at the right-most point, i.e. the end of the curve. That point is clearly NOT the score of your last test. At first, I thought the reason is that there is a delay. But later, I find another assumption more likely. That is, the chart is plotted based on the "all time speed". In other words, it is an average score, and it is not even the "recent speed", a.k.a. "the average of the last games". No, it is the average of all time. Who would want that? Normally, the user would want to see the case-by-case individual real-time scores.

I think I know why. I just figured out this recently. But embrace yourselves for I have a lot of info, which might be difficult to assimilate all at once and might be disappointing once you see what I am saying. I mean, it could be that "you don't want to know". Also, I'm not a native speaker, and so my presentation could be unnecessarily long (not concise). (To be continued...)

yeah, it happens sometimes. pretty sure a couple of my scores on some quotes got deleted but can't really pinpoint a reason. also, 170 pb and 140 average is insane, big ups!

Damn glad to see another fellow typing enthusiast lol. I have been playing on this website for a while and I have improved a lot. It seems like you already were good at typing though hehe. I also recently just realised something. I had a pb of 170 before and played over 300 games but after not playing for like 3 months it now shows that I've only played like 113 games and some of my scores have been deleted especially my scores above 150. Have you seen anything like that?
