- Comforting a Friend
If you are ever fortunate enough to be the aid of a friend in their time of need remember this: what they say while they're suffering may not be the truth. They might say awful, mean, and hurtful things. They might criticize you or someone you care about. While they mean these things, they don't mean as much as what comes after. If you are able to comfort them, what they say after they've let everything out will be one of the most honest things you've ever heard.

- The Reason For Life
There was no point or rationale behind existence in creation. Once it was not and now it is. Perhaps eventually it will not be again. Before that, in the between which we exist and live, there is no driving purpose. Seemingly depressing, I find it helpful. If there is no overarching grand reason, only the micro reasons count. The reason you get up in the morning, the reason you chose to come to college, the reason for continuing to live and push every day, those are the only ones that matter.
