Patrick Rothfuss - The Wise Man's Fear
There are so many men, all endlessly attempting to sweep me off my feet. And there is one of you, trying just the opposite. Making sure my feet are firm beneath me, lest I fall.

Phil Jamesson - Mario, the Idea vs. Mario, the Man (Pt. 1)
Everyone knows Mario is cool as hell. But who knows what he's thinking? Who knows why he crushes turtles? And why do we think about him as fondly as we think of the mythical (nonexistent?) Dr Pepper? Perchance. I believe it was Kant who said "Experience without theory is blind, but theory without experience is mere intellectual play." Mario exhibits experience by crushing turts all day, but he exhibits theory by stating "Lets-a go!" Keep it up, baby!

Usually, I don't care about grammar and the changes of the English language, but there are a few examples where it makes the word pretty much unusable. The word nonplussed means very surprised or confused, which is the opposite of how it's usually used. This means if I use it the correct way, most people won't understand, but the wrong way, and people who know the right way will come after me.

AnonFP - Grammar? I hardly know her! (I do know her, we are madly in love with each other)
