Honestly I think the best way to improve your typing speed is to simply type. Not to your full potential, however. You can't just go all out and expect to get better every time. You need to gradually speed up over a long period of time. It's okay to be slow, as long as you make progress.

My tip to improve your typing speed is to practice everyday for at least an hour and try beating your most recent speed every time : )

It also helps to go easy on the keyboard - don't pound, just press gently (like it hurts the poor keys)
