Should we preserve capitalization of new lines when submitting poetry?

In poetry every new line is capitalized, but on keyhero quotes are supposed to be a single line. When I submit poetry I remove capitalization on new lines unless it makes grammatical sense in a single line. Do you think it is better to do this, or to leave the poem as it is?
