John Green – The Fault In Our Stars

This quote was added by wanderingchild
There will come a time when there are no human beings remaining to remember that anyone ever existed or that our species ever did anything. There will be no one left to remember Aristotle or Cleopatra, let alone you. Everything that we did and built and thought and discovered will be forgotten and all of this will have been for naught.

Of course not. Every second of existence has a purpose. We humans, that is humanity, as a whole over time, are THE PURPOSE of time and creation. Make the best of it all -- there is One God, and we are close to him, our purpose is to get much closer.

Just because something does not last for eternity does not mean it is for naught!
