The Leopard and the Fox - Aesop

This quote was added by aeronca
One day a leopard and a fox had a contest to decide who was more handsome of the two. The leopard boasted about the beauty of his innumerable spots. But the fox replied, "You may have beautiful spots, but it's better to have a versatile mind than a variegated body."

@checkmatheist I agree this quote is rather badly phrased. But basically, they have a contest and fox is being all salty and says "yeah well at least I have a brain"

Well, it kinda makes sense but this quote still doesn't.

@checkmatheist actually in the full story it is said that the fox is saying that although the leopard is beautiful the leopard is also dull vs the fox is clever. (http://fablesofaesop.com/the-fox-and-the-leopard.html) with the moral would be "A fine coat is not always an indication of an attractive mind."

That's just stupid. Who won the contest? Why would the Fox say such bullshit?
