US President Calvin Coolidge

This quote was added by manlionkuski
Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education alone will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.

Yep, persistence can raise your level of talent/skill or education, but persistence alone won't make you great. You can be the most persistent 300 pound ballerina ever, it just won't work out for you.
