Yeah I guess maybe you're right. Kind of a pointless statement in that case though, since believing either one is in control of your fate places a person's locus of control on external factors and results in inertia, blame, shame, and powerlessness.

This site introduces you to some pretty sad ideologies. Idk who this guy is but man, what a douche. Random chance is not random. Taking into consideration simple principles of probability, it's obvious that the actions we take factor into what happens to us greatly. "Good fortune" is often times simply a result of consistently applied positive action over a long period of time creating opportunity. A person who believes this quote would end up depressed and probably suicidal for no reason at all. Smh
