We live in ignorance of our own mortality. This "we," includes everyone that currently, has, and would ever exist at any point in time. We exist without hourglasses over our heads nor finitely-ticking clocks dictating our lives. You could be told that you were going to die in one year, but you could never know the exact date. Hence, we live in ignorance of our own mortality, and we are only found knowing of it in our death.
