The excellence of charity - Paul of Corinthians

This quote was added by awesome7
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

I did the same thing - tried out a bunch of different typing sites, but kept coming back to this one. You will likely run into some users that are rude, but there are certainly enough positive interactions on this site to make up for the negative ones

Thank you. I have been trying and discarding many different typing sites, based on small things such as complexity, ease of use, and how my eyes and brain respond to the visual cues. This one I keep coming back to. I love that it is interactive, and the users have input into the content. Glad to be here.

Well I think you've joined this site at the right time. Up until about a month or so ago, this site was overrun by a bunch of foul-mouthed teenagers who were on the site to troll - to irritate people instead of to improve their typing skills. People have been much more kind and respectful of to each other lately. Welcome to the site!

I am new to this site. I thought I would dip my toe in the water, see what its like. So far, its been a pleasant discourse, but then you are the only one I have talked to. Thanks for the warning.

I certainly understand your point as well. In a perfect world, we could all post whatever religious materials we wanted and could then have mature, respectful converstations about these quotes. However, there are so many crazy, aggressive and ignorant people on this site that, unfortunately, more often than not, encounters are not respectful - they can be become extremely rude and disrespectful. I see you're quite new to this site so perhaps you haven't yet encountered some of the nut jobs on this site. Take my word for it though, it's best to avoid posting quotes of a religious or political nature

I understand your point of view, and I appreciate it, @weesin. May I posit: whether Satanic, Christian, or atheistic, should not the quotes be judged on the beauty, accuracy and usefulness of their content?
weesin 4 years, 9 months ago
Yes, I've seen Buddhist quotes as well and I would definitely also consider them an infraction of the rules.

I'm assuming that you would find it offensive if someone posted Satanic material - well, as an atheist, I find your Christian quotes just as offensive as you would find Satanic quotes. I feel it would be best if everyone stuck to the rules and refrained from posting religious materials of any kind on this site.

You are correct about the clear rules, @weesin; I was testing to see what types of religious quotes would be allowed, as I see Buddhist quotes available for use.

The rules are clear - no religious ramblings on this site please
