Crime and Punishment - Fyodor Dostoyevsky

This quote was added by lardinrukinov
I looked and seen my Sonia get up. She put on her cape and handkerchief and she left the apartment. It was around nine when she returned. She returned, walked straight up to Kathrine Ivanovna, and quietly put thirty rubles on the table in front of her. She did not utter a word, she did not even have a look. She took out a large green, light wool shawl, and she hid her head and face in it and laid down on the bed with her face towards the wall.
