People don't read anymore. It's a sad state of affairs. Reading is the only thing that allows you to use your imagination. When you watch films, it's someone else's vision, isn't it?

I was a little bit grossed out about having to type "Reading is the only thing that allows you to use your imagination."

I'm not even sure people read less fiction now. Markets like Amazon support a hell of a lot of self-published authors, despite what many consider predatory profit models.

Really? Who is buying all those books, then? I think people have been saying this since shortly after reading was invented. People probably read more now than ever, but maybe you could suggest they don't read as much fiction as they used to. Still, the library is open, show me some facts to go with the statement.
