What is life? The truth is that we do not know and we may never know. Life is just what you make of it, of course it depends on where you were born and how you were raised but that still doesn't answer our question. Life can actually be meaningless. We can be just the sprout of some being that evolved into something that we are now if we believe Darwin's theory or we were just made by some God for no actual reason that we know of.
