Contradictions - - Random thoughts
My colleague was clearly struggling during our meeting. When asked to do a task, she politely declined. When asked again, I stepped in and volunteered to do it. My colleague later thanked me and admitted she'd had a panic attack earlier that day. My instinctual, internal reaction was irritation. My second reaction was self-directed shock. What should have been sympathy was cruelty. It makes me wonder what kind of person I truly am.
