This time of year, the holiday season, is extremely hard on those of us who have experienced profound loss. Halloween, dressing up the kids and going trick or treating; Thanksgiving, enjoying a good meal with the family; Christmas, giving and receiving gifts with those you love most; The New Year, welcoming and wishing for luck and prosperity for the year to come. All of the holiday season birthdays... When the person you love the most can't be part of any of it - that cuts deep.
