Environmental activists don't actually care about saving Earth. Earth has been through far worse than humans. It's been through meteors and enormous clouds of volcanic dust that blocked out all sunlight and it has turned out fine so far. Earth will survive climate change, that's not the issue. The issue is whether or not humans will.
