William Nelson - A Life of Typing: Part Five
And yet again, my typing addiction brings me back here. I'm genuinely trying to stop but I just can't. Typing is all that brings me joy now. Sometimes I wonder if I should be doing more with my life.

William Nelson - Typing Crisises Reprise
About a year ago, I wrote a quote about the more philosophical quotes on this site, and my opinions on them. I talked about how much I didn't want to have existential crises while typing; I just wanted to type. Since then, after getting hundreds more of this type of quote, they have grown on me. I now find them much more enlightening, and just as interesting as any other quote.

William Nelson - A Life of Typing Finale
After over a year, I am ending my typing story (err... probably. I might come back for an epilogue). I've solved my problem of not using much of my right hand, and now often hit 100 WPM, my goal from the beginning. I'll still visit, but this is the rest of the story. Goodbye, for now.

William Nelson - A Life of Typing Part 3
I had only recently managed to consistently get 70 words per minute, and now I had to relearn half of my typing. This would not be an easy hill to climb, but I have done it before, I can do it again. This is the end of the story, at least for now. In future years, I may release new quotes, a part 4. But for now, you are left on a cliffhanger: Will I manage to regain my previous typing speed and surpass it in the time to come, with a better methodology?

William Nelson - A Life of Typing Part 2
After this was realized, I spent about 6 months relearning how to type. I started slow, but eventually I began to pick up speed, and a few months later I surpassed 40 words per minute. But this was certainly not the end of my struggles, but only the beginnings. Two years later, I continue to strive to be faster, but I recently realized my method has been corrupted again: I type almost everything on the left hand with my index finger, and I must fix this.

William Nelson - A Life of Typing Part 1
Most people think typing is a job. Most think it is just more work. I don't think like that: I think of typing as a way to increase my productivity. Typing is a lifestyle, a way for me and others to live. I remember when I first started: 15 words per minute, hunting and pecking. In about two years, I learned of the true joy of typing; I learned how to make it fun. One year later, I am at a regular 40 words per minute. I hit a plateau, and I realized I would have to learn proper methodology.

William Nelson - Typing Crises
Every time I go to this site, I am bombarded with quotes about how I should be living my life, but that is not what I came here for. I came here to improve my typing and get great statistics on how I did. I did not come here to have an existential crisis. You came here to type, and I came here to type. Please stop writing quotes on how I should be living my life!
