Text: This common belief is the hypothesis upon which our profession was founded. It was, and indeed still is, one of the truly great and even magnificent hypotheses of medicine today. I have dared to state this hypothesis: That man, through the use of his hands as they are energized by mind and will, can influence the state of his own health.
