- Skammen (Shame) [part 2]
I looked down into the water and watched the roses burn. I held a baby in my arms. It was our daughter. She snuggled up to me and I could feel her mouth against my cheek. And the whole time I knew there was something I should remember; something someone had said. But I'd forgotten what it was.

- Skammen (Shame) [part 1]
I had a dream. I was walking down a very beautiful street. On one side were white houses with towering arches and pillars. On the other side was a leafy park. Dark green water flowed beneath the trees lining the street. I came to a high wall overgrown with roses. Then an airplane came and set the roses on fire. But it wasn't all that terrible, because it was so beautiful. I looked down into the water and watched the roses burn.

- "I Want Wind to Blow"
My clothes off me; sweep me off my feet. Take me up - don't bring me back - oh, where I can see days pass by me. I have no head to hold in grief. But there's no hope for me. I've been set free. There's no breeze; there's no ship on my sea.
the Microphones
- "I Want Wind to Blow"
The thunderclouds broke up. And the rain dried up. The lightning let up. The clacking shutters just shut up. There's no black or white; no change in the light; no night; no golden sun. The sound of cars, the smell of bars, the awful feeling of electric heat. Under fluorescent lights, there's sacrifice; there's hard feelings; there's pointless waste. I want wind to blow.

- "Taxi Driver"
Oh, my, and the funny way the ceiling tastes so high, but no chance. My little chemical romance left a bad taste in my mouth. But I approached her, like, "Hey, Mercedes, why the long face? Why you crying? No need; just put on this Coheed and fall out." Boy meets girl; Jimmy eat world, but Schlep eats pills till he's all out.
Gym Class Heroes
- "Taxi Driver"
I took cutie for a ride in my death cab. She tipped me with a kiss; I dropped her off at the meth lab. Before she left, she made a dashboard confessional and spilled her guts in cursive. But what's worse is I could still her bright eyes like sunny day real estate; oh, my, and in a funny way it irritates.
Fist Benders
- "I Know"
I'm scared that everything I do will replace my memories of you, so I'm not doing a thing. I'll just stay in bed and daydream until you let me in. And it could be forever, because I would do anything. You told me, "I know."

- リリイ・シュシュのすべて (All About Lily Chou-Chou)
"Summer 1999. Nostradamus was wrong, but if the world had ended, if my life had ended during my summer vacation, I might have been happier." "It did end. Humanity's extinct. The world we live in now is The Matrix." "If that's true, humanity's last day was September 1, 1999. The first day of school. From that day on, the world was grey."
Pokémon Legends: Arceus
- Old Verse 3
No claws nor fangs, no strength to claim - no man could hope to hold his own to mighty Pokemon. But bolts of light rained down one day, ten times they fell, ten times struck true upon ten Pokemon. Then to weak man did these ten turn, his strength to be, and all were blessed by loyal Pokemon. Were not these bolts a gift to man? Were they not your almighty grace, great Sinnoh, paragon?
Pokémon Legends: Arceus
- Old Verse 4
Ten Pokemon, the ancient hero's loyal retinue - though these companions now are gone, their noble duty passes on to generations new. The people thank the ten descendants for their gen'rous toil by lining vessels built to last with water clear and choice repast before the arenas' soil.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus
- Old Verse 10
'Twas long ago he earned the name "hero.".. He led his retinue, ten Pokemon, against the almighty unknowable. In battle did his valiance proclaim at last the strength of humble humankind. The great unknowable approved this feat, and to its domain of no place returned.

- "SnooPING AS usual I see"
Below, the audience waits with bated breath. With stars in their eyes the likes of which we've never seen, they watch your lips move ever so slightly; waiting. "You guys are too kind. You guys, I can't find words to describe how little and insignificant this award is."

- "SnooPING AS usual I see"
Presenting those who, without woe in our hearts, we proudly bestow our highest endowment. How?! Did we even do anything? Just go up there and accept the thing. Someone else do it; I don't like public speaking. Hurry up, the whole room is clapping. What is this even for? Hurry up, the food is getting cold. Hello. I don't seem to know why we're all here!

- History Is Accumulating (Part 2)
In this video, I say the word "the" ten times. I use the letter "e" one hundred twenty-four times. I use the letter "j" only once. But there's one letter - only one - that I never use at all. Can you figure out what it is? No, you quiet, zippy fox, it's not the usual suspects. Also, I say the word "deified" four times in this video. To be deified means to be made into a god. But is to create a god to be a god yourself? Does it go both ways? Well, "deified" reversed is still "deified." Cabbage.

- History Is Accumulating (Part 1)
If you wanna overthrow the US government, all you have to do is wait. Because right now, there are eleven days each year that the US recognizes as federal holidays. The first four were codified in eighteen-seventy, but since then, we have accumulated seven more. That's a rate of exactly one new federal holiday every fourteen years. At that rate, by the year sixty-nine-eighty, every single day will be a federal holiday, and government employees will have every day off.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus
- Old Verse 2
O you, who at the world's far-off end dwell, I know your wish - it is my wish as well. My own beloved is now gone from me, departed to a place I cannot reach. My old companions have left me behind, their faces faded into days gone by. Still to my breast I clutch this hopeless dream, a futile wish for us once more to meet. O you, who at the world's far-off end dwell, I know your wish - it is my wish as well. But ours are cold and endless winter days, warmed only by memories locked away.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus
- Old Verse 9
I set the bones of Pokemon adrift upon the river. I let my memories flow on, adrift upon the river. And to the ocean they will flow, perhaps around the world to go. How many bones in days now gone have I now set adrift from me? How many bones in days to come will I yet set adrift to sea? While every gift with which I part takes a sliver of my heart.
The Ongoing Concept
- "Class of Twenty-Ten"
I do know if you hear this song you're going to call me up and say, "Michael, what's wrong? Is everything okay?" and I'm gonna tell you this: "No! It's not okay! 'Cause for the past four years you haven't said a single thing. Yes, something's wrong! One-sided friendships only last for so long."

Yet, they wonder why their kids get stoned, and eat each other out of house and home, when they full-well know that the home is where the heart is. But pay no mind to proverbs, kids - a brief course in bio shows that the heart is where the tit is, and a thorough inventory will reveal that home is only where your junk is.

- "Natasha"
I smelled honeysuckle and opium - two of her signature scents. I pulled aside all the thistles and vines, and mesmerized, I made my descent. As I crawl further inside, the light slowly dies, and the dirt begins to feel like her skin. I tremble as I drag my fingers down the walls, caressing her sweet flesh again.
