The idea being that you do not turn into a Christian all at once, it is not an overnight thing, although you will be infused with God's grace all at once, being a Christian is not an event, it is a process. You gradually come to understand what the domain of your will is, and you do your best to reconcile your will with God's will to humble your arrogant tendency to judge God.

We're never going to ask or answer the big questions in life. He makes a very pointed remark and I've always had it stuck in my brain, because I think it's probably true. "People that do not know how to remain silent, do not know how to talk." That's a remarkable observation.

We've all seen the "These quotes are too long!" quotes before, why not make it so that we can choose the amount of characters we type? I'm not a fan of the longer quotes myself, but I'm definitely not in favor of removing them.

Before a horse can learn to obey it must go through a process called getting "broken in." If it is broken in, it becomes something so much better. Maybe a race horse or a trail horse. If it is not broken in, it becomes fat. It sits around, eats grain, and chases the butterflies. Keep note; the horse is very happy. The horse is doing everything it wants to do. That does not mean the horse is good.

"Do you think I am annoying?" "Are you looking for fake reassurance or for a genuine answer?" Most people are not looking to offend you. Even if they don't like you; believe it or not. A person would rather make an easy lie than to really say what they felt to your face. So, do I think you're annoying? Yes. I do. You asked the question and now you get your answer whether or not you were looking for the answer you know was wrong so you could keep living the lie.

I don't understand why people hate pressure and other's high expectations. It's been created so that a person can grow to become a person so great, they could never have been a better person without the pressure they were put into. How do you think Bill Gates and Jeff Besos made so much money? Cuz they moped around, complaining that they didn't have money but didn't have the willingness themselves to get a job? Without pressure there is no movement, without expectations, there is no growth.
