So I thought that hiding my speed and accuracy while I train will help me improve.
These are my results:
Speed: from 53 WPM to 67 WPM
Accuracy: from 91% to 96%

Note: These results could be momentary, I will see if they stick. I hope they will.

I use uBlock origin to remove everything: graph, flair, accuracy and speed reading.
And dark Reader for dark mode.

I enjoy myself while I train I don't worry about my speed as much as I did when I would see my speed after each test.

Sometimes I redo the same quote multiple times and difficults words multiple times.

All I need to see is my mistakes. I try to get a 100% accuracy everytime but it's still rare.
I legitimately just start at a random position and freestyle it from there. I know, not helpful. But I'm past 100 WPM at this point and I'm only improving by just typing like a crack addict pretending to hack for a indie film produced in early 2000's Austria.

Awesome tactic. Whilst I would not do the same, I'm glad from what I'm reading it's working out. 67 WPM is a major achievement. Next up is 100 and you're good to go for being a top world class typist. Good luck!

Ok my speed is back to 61 WPM now. Accuracy at 94%.
I have been lazy. I type less and don't care anymore so I make a lot of mistakes.

my highest has been 82 wpm with 100% accuracy but it was a fluke i guess as that was the first time and last time i crossed 70 mark. Now it stays between 50 and 60.

Good progress; keep it up. I do recommend using practice sites that direct which finger should go where, and making sure you are following a consistent format. I re-taught myself how to type from 6-8 fingers to full 10, and that was the most helpful. After that, just practice getting the muscle memory, and stop yourself from looking at the keyboard. Whether or not you see your improvements as you make them is up to you. It didn't get to my head to see it, but if it does yours, that's fair. Good luck!

I think ignoring your wpm and accuracy is good practice in general, as trying to pay attention to these numbers as you type will only distract you. However, if improving your wpm is your ultimate goal, I suggest a more targeted approach to your practice. I would drill common letter combinations, such as 'wer' and 'tion' and the like. Some longer words are able to be typed in less than half a second due to there being little to no distance your fingers have to travel in between letters; an example is 'childhood'. Also, you should try to read ahead of where you're typing in order to reduce the time taken between words. Good luck!

The hardest part is finding the correct posture of hand and home position.
