you know the tiny bump on the F and J letters to let you know that your fingers are positioned correctly? I can barely feel mine. How can i make them more noticeable? when i learned to type, back in high school, we used typewriters and the bumps were very noticeable. I notice that majority of my errors are because my fingers get off of the correct placement. can anyone tell me how i can make the bumps more exaggerated so i can feel them better, and maybe type better?
Hi Angela,

I don't know the exact type of keyboard you're using, but I do know that chromebook keys can be replaced:

Also, if you have a favorite keyboard, you can hook it up via USB to the chromebook:

Can you upload a picture of it? I'm sure someone has had this problem before, and has an answer.

Take care,
Stephen

If you need that, you can put a sticker on the keys. Otherwise, I'd suggest making sure your fingers start on the right keys every time you sit down at the computer. Overtime you'll teach your muscle memory :)

Which kind of keyboard are you using? If it's a mechanical keyboard, or one with removable key caps, you can simply buy two new ones with bumps. If not, keyboards only cost about $7 at Walmart -- you might just buy another.

Pop them out and put a small dot of superglue on them.

dear stephen, thank you for your advice. to answer your question, they are not the kind of keys that pop off. I am on a new [new to me] chromebook. you mentioned purchasing a new keyboard, well on my chromebook laptio, the keyboard is attached to the screen by a long hinge. since its connected, can i still purchase a new keyboard? wouldnt there be wires and such id have to know how to connect? please help because i like the idea, but i know nothing about how to replace the keyboard. thank you stephen, looking forward to your responding advice. sincerely, angela coleman

Maybe you can put dot stickers on the keyboard.

Or maybe a bluetooth keyboard to avoid the wires.

I second the dot sticker on the keyboard. They certainly helped with my old keyboard.

My mom has dots on her keyboard, but she's visually impaired (legally blind) so she's got hers customized for her use.

If you have a USB Connection, you can get a wireless keyboard/Mouse package from Logitech, and it uses the same antenna for both devices. You can then put dots of velcro or some other material on the keyboard you'll hook in using the antenna.

A Dot Of Nailpolish fixed mine :)
