Maybe I don't need to see my Speed.

I think there should be an option to hide your speed progress so that you can really focus solely on improving your accuracy.

If you practice while focusing on improving your accuracy, you will also improve your speed or at the very least you won't waste time trying to correct mistakes.

Seeing your speed after each test and then seeing the leaderboards with people doing 150WPM pushes you to try to type faster and if you force yourself to type faster, you are gonna make more mistakes, which will lower your speed.

It's like trying to lose weight and checking your weight everyday. It makes you focus on the wrong thing. You should focus on improving your diet and doing regular exercise not counting the kilos you lost or gained after each meal/workout.

I know it's important to see your progress it can boost your willingness to keep working.

I want to be able to practice everyday on accuracy and maybe once a month or a week, i check my speed progress.

Exit full screen and Drag the window so that the part that has the WPM is off the screen.

That's nice. Either make a new typing program that does this or just shrink your window down to hide wpm and use self control to not check. They're not adding anything new or changing anything on this website any time soon. Maybe, but I doubt it. Would be cool, though.

The other suggestions are good and you can also increase the webpage zoom to move the speed chart away and have the quote center aligned without re-sizing the window.

Another more radical option will be to use a pop-up blocker to delete the element from the page. Give it a shot!

uBlock should do the trick: https://github.com/…

Choose the add-on based on your browser.

Ooh good suggestion.

I have tried the zoom/re-sizing thing before because I thought seeing the graph and real-time wpm in my peripheral view was a little distracting, but hiding it away didn't seem to have a significant impact on the speeds or accuracy. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

meh lol.
I just want to forget about speed when I'm practicing.
When i finish a test and i see i'm below my average, in the next test I try to do better( faster ) and I make more mistakes and get frustrated.
i just don't want to see it, to focus on accuracy.

It worked like a charm.
Thank you for the ublock suggestion.

Hope you know, if you don't see your speed, you'll type faster. The thing is, once you're see your speed, your brain will try to make it better. therefore that will cause you to type faster, therefore making mistakes. But all this really depends on the type of Typing Practice's you're using. I use the one that doesn't need the adobe flash player. So, This really isn't a problem for me. Tip: Try to make some noises while typing. It helps!

I have this chrome extention that can inject javascript into a webpage after it's loaded, and it hides the score from being shown (both the accuracy and the speed, which is how I like it, It doesn't however, hide the graph chart):

https://chrome.goog…

After installing it, open it when you are at https://www.keyhero…

paste the following code into the text area in the extention and click save.

document.querySelector('div.col-md-4').hidden=true;;(function($,window){var intervals={};var removeListener=function(selector){if(intervals[selector]){window.clearInterval(intervals[selector]);intervals[selector]=null;}};var found='waitUntilExists.found';$.fn.waitUntilExists=function(handler,shouldRunHandlerOnce,isChild){var selector=this.selector;var $this=$(selector);var $elements=$this.not(function(){return $(this).data(found);});if(handler==='remove'){removeListener(selector);} else{$elements.each(handler).data(found,true);if(shouldRunHandlerOnce&&$this.length){removeListener(selector);} else if(!isChild){intervals[selector]=window.setInterval(function(){$this.waitUntilExists(handler,shouldRunHandlerOnce,true);},200);}} return $this;};}(jQuery,window));$('[data-reactid=".0.0.0.1.0.0.0"]').waitUntilExists(()=>{var el=document.querySelector('[data-reactid=".0.0.0.1.0.0.0"]');el.parentNode.removeChild(el);});

EDIT:
The following code hides anything to do with speed, and just shows accuracy info:

hope it works for you.
