Is "slow start" a good trait for the tests?

I am curious if others share my opinion in that the "slow start" does more bad than good.
Just recently, I have been doing my daily 15 minutes of typing, the next typing test loaded slowly.
At the end of the test, I have gotten half my normal speed, which happens never, on these tests.
My internet is just fine, thank you, the recent problem is that sometimes the site is slow on loading the tests. ALSO, many other sites start the "timer" when you start typing, not reading the quote.
I'd prefer to only be able to see 3 words in advance rather than have this "slow start" function, which is definitely more inconvenient for me (and maybe others that is why I am pondering the question).
bruh i don't even know since i don't use that. i just start typing as soon as i see some text. i think thats what you should do XD

I mean you're not meant to have too much time to prepare for these things. The aim is to measure and diagnose how good you are at TYPING, not repeating a block of text that is put in front of you. Three seconds is usually enough to adjust your fingers on the keyboard and prep to start typing. If you miss the start, what I always do is just skip to the next quote, using the escape key.
