I want a cursor showing where I am typing

Often in the middle of really long words, I forget (while typing 100+ wpm) precisely where in the word I was at. And then I have to squint and look really close, not at the quote I'm reading, but at the tiny text below it, see what the last letter is, then look up, compare it to the word I'm typing... come on! This is not how people actually type! I want to see a cursor where I am typing, in the middle of the quote. This should be easy to implement, and I believe it would greatly increase both my speed and accuracy of typing, while also being a closer simulation of real typing.

Can we please make this happen? Please and thank you.
A cursor would be SUPER helpful!!

Yeah, I'd like a cursor too, but who even knows if it will actually happen. :(

Honestly I like not having a cursor. I just moved here from typeracer and I think this system is much better. While it does punish mistakes more, i like it because it makes it so I have to picture the whole word while typing which improves my speed and habits. That's just me though.

I just found this after using typeracer and have to say that I like it a lot more. Maybe because I can keep moving on to my next test right away, and the length of text is longer, or I can pick my own.

If you don't want a cursor while playing typeracer you could click 'change display format' and set it to old-style. Just saying.

Same here. I moved here from typeracer and this punishes you more to not make mistakes. But i do see where the people who do not like the system here are coming from.
