I believe you can bail by hitting the escape key without it affecting your stats

If you need to exit the quote and want to start a new one immediately, you can press 'esc' on your keyboard. If someone starts talking to you and you need to exit the quote without starting a new one you can press "Command+R" (for Mac) or "Control+R" (For Windows, I think).

I tested out "Control+R" on Windows and you're absolutely correct - it works - it stops the test without immediately starting a new test as is the case when you hit the escape key. This is a great tip for being who get interrupted by others when taking typing tests (so, basically all parents...)

You're welcome @weesin. Awesome! Thank you for confirming the Windows combo. Once you press 'Control+R', you can also press 'esc' to start a new test. In addition, 'Control+R' is basically just a refresh function for browsers, so you can refresh any website page using that combination.

My maximizing-type brain would recommend using F5 on Windows, it has the same function as CTRL-R in one key rather than two.

I wish I knew this earlier, but now I know. Thank you weesin for confirming "Control+R" on Windows. I'm not a parent/mother, but I still get interrupted or easily distracted. I also appreciate the confirm on the F5 tip, too! It will be faster to perform.

It's strange, my f5 takes me to a file search window. It must be a different keyboard layout than yours.
