Anyone want to circle back to this now?
I still look back an cannot believe that we allowed to be treated like sheep, and that people fell for such nonsense. Our government lies to us regularly, the truth comes out, and people go, "Oh well, that's the past" and continue on with some other distraction.

I don't think there's any hate in this quote at all. He's simply making the point that the people in power allow the use alcohol and gambling as a form of social control. And since black people, at least during Malcom X's time, weren't really part of the government, he's legitimate in selling it as a form of control from the part of white people towards black people. He's just saying black people shouldn't gamble and drink if they want to be free.

I mean I would agree, but there's also those quotes which have so many weird punctuations and spelling mistakes which are simply so frustrating to type...
