My tip to improve your typing speed is to... Practise, Practise, Practise!! I honestly don't ever get the chance to practise, since my hand placement on the keyboard is very unmethodical. Since I spend majority of my time on gaming, I usually use three of my fingers from my left and and two fingers from the right hand. Left hand: W,A,S,D. Right hand: Mouse. Although recently I've found out about one of the most common finger placements, it'es helped me a lot. (On most keyboards there are little lumps on the letters 'F' and 'J' These are where your pointer fingers should be when typing.) Sorry if this ain't very clear.
