The master wants to make each one of its students an independent individual; this is why it allows them to work freely towards their perfection, only giving a general method and some good counsel, based on experience. He does not know if he will understand its doctrines. The book is not like a road traced on a map. The student must, by himself, sight the star of his ship and guide it on its proper course towards the shore where the sun shines.
