A chick that works in a cubicle - Distant
It is a tremendous thing, thinking. Like, how can I be here, imagining I'm somewhere else. I'm present, yet distant. Sitting here physically, but standing elsewhere, mentally. My mind is farther than anyone could fathom. I'm not really beside you; I'm traveling to another place and you cannot join me.

An Unsatisfied Customer - "I'm Sorry"
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm SO sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry." That's how you sound.

Another chick that works in a cubicle - Oatmeal & Meds pt.1
And so, the chapter continues... Only this time, I'm on these preposterous pills that my doctor prescribed. 'Preposterous', you see, merely due to the fact that they are supposed to help my narcolepsy, but I hardly get any sleep now. I heard oatmeal is a good food to eat before bed.

A chick that works in a cubicle - Getting Inspired
It took a while to get back to creating this, but I found that as I wrote (typed, actually), I was able to come up with something that I figured was worthy of being read- and maybe even retyped. I had to read a bunch of quotes and zone out to get inspired. It was quite a task, I admit. You see, this textured brown and grey cubicle I'm in isn't very inspiring. So, to come up with a sensible quote is a grueling exercise. At least, for me it was.

A chick that works in a cubicle - Plastic
Plastic is killing us in this world. I don't mean to go off on a rant, complaining about how our planet is dying because of all of the polyethylenes and polystyrenes and polypropylenes we have littered it with. No, no. I just want to direct us to a more dangerous type of plastic: fake people.

nameless being - Chapter 2: Waiting
Now I know why I remained cooped up with the others I'd grown to know quite well. It was necessary self-denial. In retrospect, it was much like something close to the discipline we had been taught, but my abstention was only for my purpose, my escape. I plotted carefully and covertly. And I waited a bit longer.

nameless being - Chapter 1: Staying
It had been months of agony, grief, torment. Eventually, it was time for me to go. Did I want to leave? Yes. Could I have just left? Yes. So, why did I stay? I don't know. Why hadn't I left while I could have? Now, I know...

A chick that works in a cubicle - 9:11
I am sitting here wondering how long I will last in this partial cube. My eyes can hardly stay open. I'm parched even though I keep drinking water. The tap-tapping of keys is lulling me close to dreamland... No, not yet. It's too early for sleep.

Tyronna - Into The Nothingness (Tyronna's P.O.V.) pt. 1
What could I do? My dad's camera was broken beyond repair, and I could not afford to pay for a replacement. The cost was way more than my "allowance" and my savings combined. I didn't even have a job to earn some cash. There really was no other option than to sign up for the next competition for local rock bands.

Another chick that works in a cubicle - Lemon Candies
Has lemon ever been your favourite flavour? Probably not. Rarely is lemon preferred over the other flavours. It's a flavour that most avoid. Lemon is to other flavours what we are amongst other races.

A chick that works in a cubicle - Misery
At long last, it has ended. A sliver of my misery has past. At long last, I shall embark upon the journey toward my haven, my home. This shift is done. I thought it would never end. And now, I bid this cubicle farewell - until tomorrow.

A chick that works in a cubicle - Could It Be?
Wait... Is it that time again? Could it be? Is it the end? Yes! Yes, it is! IT IS!! Your shift is just about done! Over with! Finished! You're almost free!

A chick that works in a cubicle
You will realize there is a time that you do not want to ever arrive. You will make it through it, only by God's grace, then dread it again thereafter. What is this time, you ask? It is the beginning of your shift.

A chick that works in a cubicle
"Just a couple more hours", she willed herself as she glanced at the clock. The others around her were engrossed in trivial conversations - either voluntarily or involuntarily. She counted a few seconds, then minutes. "Just another hour and fifty-seven minutes".

A chick that works in a cubicle
I've been sitting here for over five hours. I'm not quite sure if this is how I want to spend my life, yet here I am. I am still; I'm trying to keep still and awake at the same time.

Sarah D Mc Donald - Unusual Person
It was amazing how they could just stare and whisper and never once approach her to get the facts straight. The fact was they liked to assume, liked to fill each other's minds with a distorted perception of this new, unusual person.

Anonymous - Something wrong
Surely, you must see something wrong with dishonesty, whether it be a coworker's, a family member's, a friend's or your own. But what's more wrong is that you dismiss it.
