Text: It is important to know your history so, Newfoundland didn't join confederation in 1867 instead they were the last province to join confederation in 1949. In WWII many soldiers from Ontario served in Newfoundland received over sea medals why is that? I know why it is because Newfoundland wasn't apart of Canada at the time of WWII.
