When typing my goal is to type 75 wpm. I hope to type 85 wpm. I wish I could type 100 wpm. Maybe someday my goal will be met, my hope will be realized and my wishes will come true.

What really helped me improve my typing speed was when I was younger, there was a fad where people got on the internet to chat with random people online in chat forums. I don't know if these exist anymore. I became a very good typist and had a lot of fun. Other than that, I also was a professional paper writer as college where I typed about 50 papers per week. That helped me a lot.

When my fingers hurt after too much time on the keyboard, I know I have typed to much!! What actually hurts first is my shoulders, then my forearms and then my elbow. By the time that my fingers hurt, I have really over done it and I will probably need to take a day off from work with sore shoulders, back, and so forth.

What really helped me improve my typing speed is killing all the gnats that were in the room by enticing them to drink from a bottle of cheap wine.

My tip to improve your typing speed is to not worry about it. Typing 40 or so words a minute is plenty fast in the modern age.
Seriously, after the invention of the Xerox copy machine, laser printer, and email, there is not many jobs where a person is going to be typing a hundred pages of text a day. Typing is truly is a novelty, and what should be worked on instead of typing ability is being a better communicator.

My tip to improve your typing speed is to read the words before you type them, Learn to spell. And wear glasses to see the difference between commas and semicolons.
