Quelques pistes

* Mettez les index sur les touches qui ont un relief (petit point ou barre)
* A chaque touche il y a un doigt assigné. Une touche doit toujours être tapée par le même doigt.
* Ne regardez pas le clavier, les yeux doivent toujours être sur l'écran
* Entrainez-vous !

What really helped me improve my typing speed isn't just practice. I worried about accuracy and would get stressed, so my 'practice' would just bore me, and make me tired. What really helped is a break, and take time off of any 'extreme' typing.

My tip to improve your typing speed is to... do it more often and practice the hard stuff so that when it comes up, you do not stumble over it.

There is a dramatical difference between a mere 95-96 % precision where I was, and the 99.86% precision where I am now because it requiered I big shift in the way I perceive my result. I feel more calm and relaxed when I’m typing, whereas I used to be stressed and frustrated if my speed and my result was going down.
going at 80wpm seems easy and just really natural when I’m just focusing on precision, whereas it used to be really messy and stress inducing. Sometimes I felt I was going really fast but I was just at 65wpm. right now I feel like I’m going just normally, but it shows 80wpm. It’s a huge shift of mindset and even though the speed isn’t really going up that much, I know I’m working toward some real progress.

The idea is not giving a shit about your score. have a precise goal in mind, and work on it without paying attention on your score.
Is your goal to work on truly improving your typing skill and make real, long term progress or just want a good score ?
the score is just the average speed between the last 10 test you took, it can go back up as soon as it went down. it’s just an indicator.
My score was 80 at some point an now it’s down to a 70 wpm, but I don’t care, becase I’m working on my precision, right now it’s 99.86% on average for the last 10 games.

When my fingers hurt after too much time on the keyboard, I take a ten minute break before returning. Not doing so is a great way to get RSI.

Memorize the keyboard as thought it was an extension of your body. Let your fingers output the words the moment they reach your brain.

What really helped me improve my typing speed is ... completely re-learning the keyboard and focusing on accuracy instead of speed.

What really helped me improve my typing speed is...when I learned to type I was in H.S., and we had manual typewriters with all the letters painted over. Our only reference was the big keyboard poster on the wall. It was hard, but I memorized the letters and finger movements, then, practice, practice, practice.
Not being able to look down to see the keys was probably the most helpful part of learning.
Now its 30 years later, and it's much different using computer keyboards, so I am learning again.
Wish me luck!!

My tip to improve your typing speed is to try and memorize where the keys are on your keyboard so that you could just know what you need to type and type it as quick as lightning.

When my fingers hurt after too much time on the keyboard, I shake them up and down, up and down, up and down and then I just type again :P

My tip to improve your typing speed is to... just work really hard and have someone there to push you. Eventually, you will get to a better level . I did and my best WPM is 75 at an 100% !

When my fingers hurt after too much time on the keyboard, I... crack my knuckles and stop practicing for a while until my fingers feel better.

What really helped me improve my typing speed is... my teacher. She has been pushing us to do better and we've been keyboarding for a really long time, but this website is a lot of fun and I love adding quotes whenever I can think of one :).

When my fingers hurt after too much time on the keyboard, I take a break.

But my fingers never hurt, I keep going and keep going.

What really helped me improve my typing speed is...take a typing test in the dark so you will be able to learn where the keys are quickly.

I just switched from a flat keyboard on my lappy to a hard protruding
-typist like external keyboard. It hurts my fingers and caused a lag of 5-10 wpm in my typing speed. But I will not give up and m determined to succeed! Hehe haha huhu
