What really helped me improve my typing speed is... working on accuracy, and once that is established THEN trying for speed. Think of pressing two key combos, and then three key combos instead of just one at a time.

My tip to improve your typing speed is to... try for 100% accuracy for awhile. You will be surprised how this speeds up some of the slow letter keytimes.
