Hadestown Summary - Mabry Fristoe

This quote was added by coolcat29
Orpheus meets Eurydice. They fall in love and are about to get married, but first Orpheus has to write this song to bring back the spring and fall. Eurydice goes out to get supplies and ends up in Hadestown and signs her life away. When Orpheus goes back to get her after finishing his song, Hades tells him that he can't look back at Eurydice on the way back or she will be six-feet under forever. He turns back to her and that's where the story ends, with Eurydice in Hadestown.
