Text: At times, I am as guilty as the next surgeon of minimizing a patient's expectation of pain in advance of a procedure or operation. It's something I do automatically, involuntarily. Maybe I have had to become insensitive to the pain I inflict. Maybe I think I am so good at performing biopsies, it would be impossible for any patient to experience pain. Each paragraph will be a test.
