I agree with the first two comments, and I don't think this is even what he says in the movie, we watched this movie over the weekend and I remember the kids laughing at Oogway saying Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, before he makes the play on words with present. And I also thought I already commented on this about it being dumb that they are in China in whatever century and they use something that only makes sense in English.

This is the most trite, god-awful platitude in the history of trite, god-awful platitudes.

The last sentence is unnecessary and poorly written.
